Research on Production Company!! (Blog #12)

How will your choice of production company affect the way audiences engage with your film? I think to audience will most likely engage with my film because the production company I would like to use is a large company and they have fans. The audience would also be engaging to the film because of the genre of the film. They would see it as something they would like to watch. The audiences are the biggest part of my film because it is what bring it all together as one. The audiences are what give you the spot of what you did positive or negative. How will you convince the production company that your film is worth financing? I would work hard and create a small platform and give them each a booklet of what I want to do to my film and how I want to use it. I would express to them the important in my film. I would want them to see everything from my point of view to not just see the work but understand it. I would show them that my film is wroth to invest in. I will work hard and g

The Goal For The Blog!!

Image
What is your "brand" or "mission statement" for your film? Our mission statement is “Things can change” and what I mean by this is or many years there been one stereotype of Horror-comedy movies and shows. We will be being changing the stereotype of the different characters to keep the audience guessing. What are you striving towards? What me and my team is striving towards is being able to make everyone laugh. We want to keep the audience intrigued. In order to do that we have to make a fun and cool opening sequence. We want to give the audience the effect of what the other movie are like. What are you trying to achieve with your story? We are trying to make the audience know that stereotypes are not always true and that you can change them. With what me and my team have put together we think we can show the audience the meaning of the overall movie or show. What are some films that are like yours (genre, budget, audience, etc.)? There are many film

The Ideal Theme! (Blog #9)

What are some production companies that specialize in films like yours? Some production companies that specialize in Horror-comedies are funny and scary intros. They use different things like the lion one and the Pixar opening. I’ve seen many without production companies. The movie we are basing our off is “Dimension Films”. Many other companies are Netflix, Warner Bros, Paramount Pictures, Universal Picture, Metro Goldwyn Mayer, Walt Disney. These production companies are some of the most popular openings. We are using one that is popular and is seen in many kinds of movies and shows. For examples, “The Amityville Horror”, “Puss Gets The Boot”, “The Hustle” Which of theme would be ideal choices for producing your film? When I am producing my film, I would use dark colors and dark places for out film we want to use Metro Goldwyn Mayer. I say we use the Metro Goldwyn Mayer because I’ve seen it in many Horror- comedies and many other movies or shows. The lion gives off the effect

Script (Blog #8)

Image
What does the script look like for your film? A script for horror comedy normally like taking to wall. You are normally taking to someone dumb who don’t understand what is happening. In scary movie 3 the friends hit somebody and as the person who was hit keeps saying “I’m fine” they characters are still trying to find away to get rid of the body. For my film I think the script you be like… *cooking food* *phone rings* Zoey: Hello Killer: hey Zoey Zoey: who this Killer: you die in 8 days *Zoey calling Swaddlie* Swaddlie: Heyy grill Zoey screams: OMG I’m going to die in 8 day Swaddlie: Girls if you don’t stop screaming I my ear… As you can see there is the stereotypic white girl who is calling her black best friend to tell her what happen. We want to keep the audience guessing but we also want them to know what going to happen. We stared ours off different because each scary movie normally has the same thing with the white girl falling. We want to change the ster

Shot-by-Shot Analysis #7

Image
Complete a detailed shot-by-shot analysis using screenshots.   In these pictures you see a female answer the phone like any other horror comedy. As she is taking to the person who is spying on her you can tell she is getting scared as he says more things. There is dramatic music and I think you can get the meaning because the popcorn is getting larger. She is wearing the basic girly-girl outfit with a cute white button shirt and a skirt. You can tell the movie is in the 1900's because of the kind of phone she is using to get a call from.  The different shot is showing the whole meaning of the beginning. As she one the phone you see her lock her door because the other person on the other side of the phone is saying things that are scaring her. You can see in the 8 th shot how her face looks more worried then the others. As the conversation gets more heated the popcorn gets larger. The person on the other side of the phone put a male out on her porch and say its her boyfriend but

Blog #5 Questions On My Blog!!

What are the settings or locations of other films in my genre? Where and when are they often shot? The different setting and locations of my Horror films are normally around A hunted house, a room, a graveyard, a school etc. Each horror comedy has they own and original setting and location so it can set the tone. The horror comedy each share a similar setting and overlook. I think they do this because it’s a stereotype and making similar movie or shows in the same area can have an audience that watches the movies like the ones they just watched. For examples when I watched “A hunted house” they had movie “similar” to the movie that pop up such as “Scary movies 5”, “Hubei Halloween”, “The babysitter” and “little evil.” Each movie is similar in the way of scary and funny. Because of this they get more viewers because it what their audience is looking for and wants. Who is the intended audience for my film? Why? What are their moviegoing habits? How will I get them to see my movie?

What do the opening sequences look like in other films of my genre? There are different opening sequences in comedy for example in action comedy they normally have bright colors with short clips of people fighting, shooting, making face or anything that comedy and related to action. Another example is romantic comedy they have the pink, white and red as there main character they normally start off with the beginning of the clip and add effects. It has its own words without saying its own words.   How does an opening sequence reveal meaning and tone without giving away too much? The opening sequence reveal different tones without giving it away by the color, music, different shots. Each different comedy genre has its own meaning and how it is going to play out. With each movie or show they always shave their plot twist that no one is expecting to happen and when those plot twist happen everyone and shock, they change their whole outlook on thing and see it a different. The tone of the m
